Library Rules

  • The Library is open from 9-30 AM to 4.00 PM on all working days except on Sunday and on Academic Calendar Holidays.
  • Library Membership is mandatory for all the College Students and Faculty Members.
  • No students will be allowed to enter inside the Library without valid Library Member Card.
  • Time for Issuing and Returning of Books is from 10 AM onwards. * Major students will be issued 3 books each (computerized 1 card), General students 2 books (computerized 1 card), and H.S. students will be issued 2 books (Computerized 1 cards)
  • Faculty members are allowed to issue 10 books each (Computerized 1 card).
  • Books will be issued for period of 15 days only.
  • While visiting the Library all personal belongings such as bags, umbrellas, personal books, etc. should be kept on the property counter at their own risk.
  • Silence should be strictly observed in the Library. Mobile Phone should be switched off or kept in silent mode.
  • It is mandatory for all users to write neatly their Name, Class, Roll No, & Department in the Gate register of the Library.
  • Readers are requested to maintain the order of the Books kept in the shelves systematically.
  • Books should be handled with all care to enable their continual use for the maximum possible extent.
  • All the students will have to return the books before the commencement of examination. Library clearance must be taken from the library. If not, no Admit card will be issued.
  • All the staff members can borrow the books from the library for a period of one month.
  • During examinations, no books will be issued to the students. However , with due application forwarded by the concerned head of department, economically backward students can borrow the books, name of the books and for how many days a book will be taken in the application.
  • Book bank facility will be given to BPL card holder students of the college for a period of one year on priority basis.
  • A fine of Rs 1 will be charged per day if he/ she fail to return after 15 days.
  • Books lost, torn or defaced in any way will have to pay by the borrower.
  • Books may be renewed on request at the discretion of the Librarian.
  • Dog- earning the pages of a book, marking or writing therein with ink or pencil, tearing or taking out its pages or otherwise damaging it will constitute an injury to book.
  • Any such injury to a book is a serious offence. Unless the borrower points out the injury at the time of borrowing the book, he/she will be required to replace the book or pay its price.
  • The Librarian shall have the right to take any decision whenever situation demands.
